The Taos County Adult Detention Center ( TCADC) is an 88-bed facility housing both male and female detainees. Opened on June 26, 2011, the new modern facility can house more offenders on a long term basis, saving the taxpayer money by reducing or eliminating the need to transport detainees to facilities within and/or operated by other counties.
